ABOUT SATOPANTH TREK
The Satopanth Lake trek in Uttarakhand is a challenging and spiritually significant trek that takes adventurers to the pristine Satopanth Lake, surrounded by the Garhwal Himalayas.
Location: Garhwal region, Uttarakhand, India, starting from Mana village near Badrinath.
Destination: Satopanth Lake, a sacred glacial lake at an altitude of 4,600 meters.
Spiritual Significance: Believed to be a residence of Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva according to Hindu mythology.
Difficulty Level: Challenging trek with steep ascents, difficult terrain, and high altitude, requiring good physical fitness.
Route: Passes through Mana village, Vasundhara Falls, Laxmi Van, and Chakratirtha.
Scenic Landscapes: Offers diverse landscapes including meadows, moraines, and rocky terrain, with views of Neelkanth and Chaukhamba peaks.
Camping: Trekkers camp at designated spots like Laxmi Van and Chakratirtha, providing a unique Himalayan camping experience.
Best Time to Trek: June to September when the weather is stable, and the trail is accessible.
Permit Requirements: Trekkers need permits from the Forest Department and, in some cases, the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF).

Trek to Laxmivan – 9 Km – 5/6 hours. dinner & overnight stay at Camp.
Trek to Chakratirtha – 11 Km – 6/7 hours. dinner & overnight stay at Camp.
Trek to Satopanth Tal – 5 Km – 3/4 hours – spend an hour and return to Chakratirtha – Total 10 Km – 8 hours. dinner & overnight stay at Camp.
Trek from Chakratirtha to Mana – 17 Km – 7/8 hours – dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Badrinath.
Drive from Badrinath to Haridwar – 310 Km – 12 hours. After breakfast check out and transfer to Haridwar. Drop at Haridwar Railway station / Airport for your further journey to next beautiful destination – your home.
