Chopta:-
Chopta situated on the Gopeshwar-Ukhimath Road about 40 kms. from Gopeshwar is at an altitude of about 2,900 m above sea level. One of the most picturesque spots in the entire Garhwal region, Chopta provides a breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges and the surrounding areas.
Chopta is an unusual traveler destination appropriate for trekking fans. It is also popular for beautiful Himalayan sight with verdant green landscapes and forest . It is surrounded through snow-clad mountains.
During summers the weather is calm and pleasant. The feel of cool breeze and the view of Himalayan peaks make the journey worth a visit. While in monsoon it is covered with lush greenery and the tourists can enjoy the sip of tea, gazing at the snow capped peaks at Chopta during monsoons. Sometimes due to landslides the roads get blocked. Raincoats are mandate in monsoon. During winters the region is covered with snowfall this place gives a glimpse of mini Switzerland. The major attractions at this place are Tungnath Mandir, Chandrashila, Gopeshwar, Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary, Ukhimath and Deoria Tal.

Tungnath Shiva Temple :
Tungnath offers something to every one, be it a hardcore devotee or an ardent nature lover or adventurous lots. A mountain in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Tunganath is an enchanting location where the nature is fabulously adorned with pictorial vistas. Renowned as one of the Panch Kedars, this rocky terrain boasts of the obeisance of Shiva, the destroyer lord.
Ukhimath:
This is the winter seat of lord Kedarnath and worship is done here during the winters when the temple of Kedarnath remains closed. The temples of Usha and Anirudh, Shiva and Parvati are worth a visit.
