Area Covered: Haridwar - Badrinath - Lakshmi Van - Chakrateerath - Satopanth Taal - Balpatiya - Badrinath
Day 1 - Haridwar - Badrinath
Today morning we start our long journey from the plains of Haridwar to the the holy shrine of Badrinath. The road (NH58) follows initially the valley of Ganga, and later for a major section of its main tributary Alaknanda. On route we cross Rishikesh and then the confluence at Deoprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandaprayag to reach Joshimath. From here Badrinath is another 45 Km. The entire distance is 310 Km and can take around 12/14 hours. Night stay at lodge/rest house.
Day 2 – Badrinath to Lakshmi Van (8 Kms trek)
Today start trek from Badrinath to Laksmi Van (Draupadi is believed to have left her body here), night stay
Day 3 - Lakshmi Van to Chakrateerath (08 Kms Trek)
From Lakshmivan we trek across the Sahastra Dhara to reach Chakrateerath. Today we’ll trek for about 08Kms.
Day 4 – Chakrateerath to Satopanth Taal
Today’s trek is not for the faint hearted. High altitude, cold mountain winds, and unpredictable weather conditions make it extremely exciting and dangerous. A 3 km glacier walk will bring us to the Satopanth Taal, where we’ll set up our camp for the night.
Day 5 – Satopanth lake to Balpatiya – 10Kms
We start our descent and set up our campsite at Balpatiya. The area is a beautiful meadow full of high altitude flowers and breathtaking views
Day 6 – Balpatiya to Badrinath
We trek all the way back to Badrinath. stay for the night. Trip ends…
